Q1 2017: evolution for growth

29 March 2017

2016 was a year full of highlights for Ideal, and if its first quarter was anything to judge by, 2017 promises just as much excitement. Since January we've welcomed two new directors, many new starters and two new technology partners - reassuringly, we're still focused on our trademark excellence. With more events and announcements in the pipeline, here are five highlights from our year so far.

We started the year with a change for Claire Hopkins and Mo Merrick, both of whom stepped into new founding director positions. Taking their place are two fundamentally important new hires: new managing director Mike Henson, and sales director Rob Smyth. We're continuing our rapid, sustained growth through some great new appointments. If you want to join the Ideal team, why not view our current vacancies on our revamped jobs page, and meet more of our new starters here.

On the case study

We do fantastic things for some great companies, and we're determined to shout about it. Since January we've published new case studies highlighting our work with clients as varied as the Beggars Group, OneFamily, the Rugby Football Union, Caffyns and Barfoots. You can read and download all our case studies here.

Women in IT

For more than a year we've been asking the advice and opinions of women working in technology and IT. In a post for International Women's Day, Ideal co-founder Claire Hopkins reflected honestly on the challenges she's faced in building a gender-balanced IT company.

Onboarding, part two

We're proud of our partnership with some of the strongest technology brands around, and we're delighted to have recently entered into partnership with two more exciting companies. In January we added Genesys' scalable, cloud-based customer engagement solutions to our unified comms portfolio, and in March we entered into formal partnership with all-flash SAN experts Pure Storage. Crystal ball

No-one can predict the future, but for our senior cyber security consultant Adrian Clarke, having an eye on the horizon is essential. At the top of the year, Adrian outlined five of the key changes we could expect in 2017 and beyond - it's essential reading.

Adrian will also be one of the key speakers at our Ransomware event on the 5th of April - discover more and sign up here.
