Find out how a team from Ideal hopes to raise a serious amount of cash for Macmillan Game Changers by playing computer games for 24 hours.
We pride ourselves on being a fairly active bunch at Ideal. In the last 6 months we’ve taken on the 10,000 steps challenge, and enjoyed a company fancy dress run for Sport Relief – not to mention our regular yoga classes each week and the odd game of table football at lunch time.
But our latest company charity challenge, though physically gruelling, will be a bit more sedentary. In August we’ll be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support by playing computer games for 24 hours as part of the Game Changers event.
We’re hoping our team – Ideal Gamers - can raise a serious amount of money – and as a starter, we will be donating £100 to each member of the team. That’s part of our policy here: all members of staff can spend a working day each year fundraising and we’ll contribute £100 towards their total.
If you’d like to support them too, the Ideal Gamers JustGiving page is here. And if you’d like to take part in the Game Changers challenge – and maybe take us on – sign up at the Macmillan Game Changers page here.
