Ideal are delighted to announce our support as a sponsor for Martlets Snailspace. The project ties nicely into our core company values of pride, relationships and ambition. Founded in Brighton and with offices a stones throw away from the city centre, we are proud of our city. As a company, we are always keen to get involved in local events and support local causes; with Martlets being such a worthy cause, providing life-changing hospice care to our community, we decided it was a great opportunity to get involved.
Ideal’s Managing Director, Mike Henson commented "Martlets is a fantastic local hospice and as a Brighton based business we are thrilled to be supporting them as a sponsor for the Snailspace campaign."
The Ideal sponsored snail is called The Brightonian; you’ll understand the reasoning behind the name when you see the design. Local artist Rosie Apps has done a sensational job painting The Brightonian and both artist and sponsor are excited to reveal the design, but for now there is a sneak peek below.

During the design selection process Senior Marketing Exec, Jade Hazell commented “We were wowed by the sheer range of brilliant snail designs to choose from but Rosie’s illustrations really stood out to us. The bold and colourful design mirrors the Ideal culture and our offices, it was also an added benefit that the design reflects the Ideal brand colours!”
All snails along the snailway will offer a reward for anyone using the associated app. As a B2B business Ideal thought long and hard about what app reward we could offer as we wanted something that all visitors could enjoy, not just business users. We were sure we wanted the reward to reflect our vibrant city and to credit artist Rosie Apps. As a result, Ideal decided upon creating a prize draw with the opportunity to win a striking print of the snail artwork – it’s a fabulous piece and we hope the lucky winner will love it as much as the team at Ideal do!
The Brightonian sculpture will be located in front of Brighton station just a stones throw away from our office providing us the opportunity to greet visitors in a very unique way.
The Ideal office and company culture reflects’ the #BeMoreSnail message by encouraging a work-life balance and taking time to reflect, re-charge and re-energise. The Ideal team then use that energy and our commitment and passion to customers care to create value, protect and accelerate our customers businesses.
The snails will takeover the city from the 15th September and Ideal are encouraging all visitors to have a selfie with The Brightonian and tag @weareideal and @snailspacebh. We hope that visitors to the snailway will embrace the Be More Snail message and take the time to explore the city.
